Delete Account — AirStatus One

📱 How to Delete Your Account In-App

You can delete your AirStatus One account directly from within the app at any time. No need to contact support — the option is available in Settings.

Open the AirStatus One app on your device.
Tap the Settings icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
Tap Delete Account.
Read the confirmation message and tap Delete Account again to confirm.

Your account will be permanently deleted immediately after confirmation.

🗑 What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:

Your Firebase Authentication account and sign-in credentials.
Your personal air quality summaries stored in the cloud (daily, weekly, and monthly averages).
Your account email address and any associated account metadata.

Your local sensor data is not affected. Readings stored on your device remain available in the app. You can continue using the app in a limited capacity without an account, or create a new account at any time.

🌍 Anonymous Environmental Data

AirStatus One contributes anonymized aggregated sensor data to a shared environmental dataset. This data is used to support air quality research and mapping.

Anonymous environmental dataset records are not deleted when your account is deleted. These records contain no personally identifying information — no name, email address, user ID, device ID, or account reference of any kind. They cannot be traced back to your account or identity.

⚠️ Can't Access the App?

If you are unable to access the app to delete your account, please contact us directly and we will delete your account manually.

Email us at airstatusone@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account.

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.
